Collaboration with Bio Farma
BioNet and Bio Farma signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in May 2025 to jointly develop and distribute vaccines across Southeast Asia. The collaboration combines BioNet’s expertise in recombinant technology with Bio Farma’s large-scale manufacturing capabilities to address critical immunization needs in the region. The signing took place during French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Indonesia, at the Business Forum organized by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN).
About Pertussis and Recombinant Pertussis Vaccine
Pertussis (whooping cough) is a highly contagious respiratory disease, particularly dangerous for infants. BioNet’s recombinant pertussis vaccine uses genetically inactivated pertussis toxin to provide effective and safer protection. The vaccine is currently under EMA review for use in Europe.
