An Alternative to Pertussis Combination Vaccines for Booster Use

Combination vaccines containing pertussis, tetanus, and diphtheria antigens have played a central role in pertussis prevention for many years. However, not all individuals requiring pertussis booster vaccination need repeated immunisation against tetanus or diphtheria.
