Two presentations highlighting BioNet’s recombinant pertussis vaccine research received awards at the Asian Congress of Pediatric Infectious Diseases (ACPID) 2026, held from 14–16 August in Indonesia.

Dr. Kulkanya Chokephaibulkit received the 1st Winner award for Oral Presentation for “Thailand’s Experience with Recombinant Pertussis Vaccines: From Clinical Development to Maternal Immunization and Real-World Impact.”

Harin Leelayuwapan received the 2nd Winner award for Poster Presentation for “Clinical Development of Reduced-Dose Recombinant Pertussis Vaccines: Immunogenicity and Safety Across Populations.”
Together, the presentations highlight different aspects of BioNet’s recombinant pertussis vaccine programme, from clinical development and evaluation of reduced-dose formulations to maternal immunization and real-world experience.

The recognition reflects BioNet’s continued commitment to generating robust scientific evidence to support the development and use of innovative pertussis vaccines.

“We are delighted to see this work recognized by ACPID 2026. Generating robust scientific evidence is essential to supporting public health and informed decision-making. These awards are a testament to the dedication and collaboration of our investigators, study teams, colleagues across BioNet and external partners who have contributed to this work over the years, all sharing a common goal of helping protect communities against pertussis.”
